Youth: Khadrejnane in Italy?

Youth: Khadrejnane in Italy?

Expected to sign a two-year scholar contract with Rennes, Hakim Khadrejnane seems in fact very likely to leave the Stade Rennais this summer. Indeed, on a trial since Wednesday with Hellas Verona, the player is believed to have signed a three-year scholar contract with the Italian side, currently playing in Prima Divisione, the third national division.

Last year, Khadrejnane played mainly in the U19 Rennes squad, and took part in the “Gambardella Cup” journey, eliminated in the round of sixteen against Paris FC (1-0). An attacking midfielder, he was also called up in Laurent Huard’s Reserve team, playing two games during the 2009-2010 season.

As many players of the 1992 (Fabien Balisier, Jean-Bryan Boukaka, Vincent Dorel, Jonathan Isambart, Kévin Makila), Khadrejnane was expected to sign a two year scholar contract, but the player’s entourage requested a three year contract and an increased salary. A request Rennes management refused, for a player failing to show strong enough long-term guarantees.
