Transfers, Gyan : “The decision belongs to Rennes”

Still in holidays, and expected back at La Piverdière only next Monday, July 26th, Asamoah Gyan remains very attentive to all rumours involving his future at the club.

At the end of a prolific season both in club and international football, the striker is currently the target of several European clubs. Last week, Fenerbahçe made a move with an offer of 12 million euros and 3 million in additional bonuses. Confronted to Rennes’ management refusal to let their Ghanaian international player leave, the Istanbul club is thought to have sent an improved offer of 15 million euros, according to fotospor (also read).

On L’Équipe’s website, Gyan recognise he wasn’t thinking of a transfer this summer, but also calls his management for more clarity on his case: “I have to come back to Rennes and talk with my management to know what’s going on […] If a club contacts me, we will have to sit around a table and talk. I won’t start a fight. Rennes has to decide on the offers, and I’m still under contract with them for another two years »
