Danzé wants to “remain for the long run” with Rennes

As Rod Fanni’s transfer remains on a standstill (see Transfer Latest), Romain Danzé discussed his personal situation on L’Équipe’s website, reaffirming he was ready to step into the first team in case the French international was to leave during this transfer window: "There is no need for recruits, I’m here and I can do the job. Now it’s up to me” he recognises.

Evolving from a super sub to a regular starter, Danzé declares his ambitions as the 2010-2011 season arrives: "Our goal is to qualify for European competitions, and why not win a Cup on the way?” Trained at the club’s Academy, the former U21 international claims his envy to remain at the club for as long as possible, even though he was recently approached by a couple of French clubs (Sochaux, Nice: “I am very content playing for Rennes, and would like to remain here for the long run with the club”.
