Former Players : No contract for Lasimant or Petit with Grenoble ?

Former Players : No contract for Lasimant or Petit with Grenoble ?

Yesterday afternoon, Grenoble played a friendly game against Nice (1-0), but neither Yohann Lasimant nor Florent Petit played a single minute in this game.

On trial since the 4th of July, Lasimant had his trial period extended by Mécha Bazdarevic. Soon after, the bosnian coach said that he will take a decision in the coming days for the former Rennes player who scored against Fejus (1-2) in a friendly game on the 14th of July. Not called yesterday against Nice, it seems that Lasimant is already seeking for a new challenge.

On trial since last week, Florent Petit was not part of the success against Nice. The former Rennes goalkeeper who did not have his contract extended last June, had played a half-time against Frejus and Evian-Thonon-Gaillard Football Club.

Another former Rennes player has been on trial with Grenoble. The former Rennes reserve team left back Jackson Mendy is actually on trial in Isère. Arrived in Rennes from Quevilly in June 2006, he signed an apprenticeship contract with the Britanny club but was not renewed later on. After a short period with Paris FC, he made his big move by signing with Hansa Rostock, then with SC Fribourg where another Rennes former player Simon Pouplin has been playing for the past two years. Mendy is free to sign with any club.
