Transfers, official: Oniangue in Tours for three years

Left out of the squad by Frédéric Antonetti since a couple of weeks, Prince Oniangue is officially the twelfth player to leave Rennes during this summer transfer window. Indeed, the Congolese international has signed a three years contract with Tours (Ligue 2). The club did not precise however, if the player have been sold, or released on a free transfer a year before the term of his contract.

Loaned to Angers (Ligue 2) last season, the defensive midfielder came back to Rennes with high ambitions. These were short-lived however, and he was soon transfer listed. Tours management had already contacted Rennes a few week ago to obtain a loan of Oniangue, but the Rennes staff refused at the time.

A 2007 France champion of professional reserves, he then showed great ability in CFA, forming a solid partnership with David Louhoungou. He was then offered his first appearance in Ligue 1 by Guy Lacombe against Nice (1-0, 2008-2009), replacing Stéphane M’Bia for the final minutes of the game. He was also sitting on the bench during the 2009 Coupe de France final against Guingamp (1-2). With the “Rouge et Noir”, he played a total of 7 professional games, for 345 minutes spent on the field.
