Rampillon talks about Brahimi

Who else than Patrick Rampillon, the head of Rennes’ Academy, could shed the light on Yacine Brahimi meteoric progression, since he arrived in Brittany in June 2006? Loaned to Clermont Foot (Ligue 2) last season, the French-Algerian attacking midfielder grew in confidence and maturity there according to his former mentor, as he explained to sports newspaper L’Équipe.

"His time in Clermont was highly beneficial. We saw the talented player we knew, but his implication in the team grew bigger. Now, his able to keep a regular level of performance will be critical”, comments Rampillon, who is usually quite reluctant to judge on the evolution of his young graduates.
