Former Players : The M’Bia show goes on

There’s not a week passing without hearing about Stéphane M’bia ‘s adventures in Marseille. Missing against Lorient (2-0) and in Bordeaux (1-1) over the last weeks, he could not take part in these games because of a reported knee injury. However, the club’s doctors could not detect any injury on the MRI scan.

Diplomatic injury or not, it is said the reason of his absence could be the refusal from the club to offer him an improved deal on his contract. Since a few days, the Untamed Lion is deliberately avoiding Didier Deschamps’ training sessions to get things sorted his way. Last Tuesday, he is thought to have met Jean-Claude Dassier with his advisor to try and find an agreement on his situation.
