Obituary: The ETP Odorico’s President has died

Gérard Pourchet, president of the Odorico technical school, has died on Sunday following a long illness, the Stade Rennais FC announced on Monday.

Aged 67, this local political figure, the mayor of Le Rheu from 1995 to 2001, was at the direction of the ETP Odorico since 2006 and the death of the previous president, Franck Viel.

The Odorico private technical school is the structure that manages the schooling and hosting of the young players at the academy, with the sportive part remaining to the club. The school has got its own president, a director, currently Pierre Rochcongar, the club’s former doctor. The Association status of the ETP, founded in 1987, gives it its own legal persona and the management of its own budget.

This status also allows the association to receive public funding and develop its own partnerships.
