Marveaux’ situation remains on the status quo

With a contract expiring in June next year, Sylvain Marveaux affirmed during a press conference that “nothing new” has happened regarding a possible prolongation of his contract in Brittany, according to newspaper L’Équipe’s website.

On his side, Pierre Dréossi only replied that “the time hasn’t come to talk about his”.

«We’ll discuss things nicely and quietly together, the Rennes general manager explained. We’re only in September”.

If he doesn’t extend his contract until then, Marveaux will be free to leave the Stade Rennais for any club he likes in June 2011, as Moussa Sow did last summer. From January 1st, 2011, any club interested in signing the player will be able to contact him without seeking consent from the Stade Rennais.
