Fomer Players: Louhoungou finally allowed to play

After a six months spell at Kocaelispor (Turkey), David Louhoungou signed a one year contract with Boulogne-sur-Mer (Ligue 2) on September 21st. Waiting for his International Transfer Ceritificate, Laurent Guyot was unable to use his new player. Boulogne’s official website announced on Friday, that the document had finally been received by the club this Friday. This will allow the Congo international’s contract to be validated.

Consequently, Louhoungou will be available to his manager’s choice next week, for Boulogne-sur-Mer’s game away in Troyes.

An U18 France Champion in 2007 and 2008 Gambardella Cup winner with Rennes, the former Rennes Academy trainee wasn’t awarded a professional contract at the end of his training in June 2009.

After two unsuccessful experiences abroad, at Hamilton AFC (Scotland, August-December 2009) and Kocaelispor (Turkey, January-June 2010), Louhoungou decided to come back to France and join a Boulogne squad featuring Guillaume Borne and Vincent Pajot. The latter was involved in the Gambardella Cup victory alongside Louhoungou two years ago.
