In Lens, the search is on for the “maul”

At Lens, where Stade Rennais will play on Sunday, the atmosphere is far from good. Second from last in the League with only one victory so far (in Arles-Avignon, 1-0), the club is experiencing a crisis visible materialised by several incidents.

In Sochaux, during the last game week, Yohan Demont and Nenad Kovačević came to blows, giving a rather somber image of the atmosphere reigning in the Lens squad.

This Wednesday, talking to La Voix du Nord, midfielder Adil Hermach denies any troubles in the RC Lens’ squad. “The atmosphere is good and I don’t understand the things I read everywhere about the daily life of our team, the Morrocan international declares. We are actually looking for the maul who feeds the journalists with false information. In fact, is there actually one? Whatever we read in the media is far from the truth”.

Against the Stade Rennais, a reaction will be expected by the Lens fans. Frédéric Antonetti’s players will have to find a way to counter it.
