Dual nationality for Kana-Biyik?

Dual nationality for Kana-Biyik?

Included in the first eleven in eight occasions since the Ligue 1 season began, Rennes defender Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik revealed to AFP, this Thursday, that he had opted for taking the French-Cameronese dual nationality.

Born in France, Kana-Biyik was granted a passport of his father’s country, former Cameroon international André Kana-Biyik.

«But it doesn’t mean anything, it’s only a hint, an option of safety as I’m still considering my future”, the defender affirms, who continues affirming he hasn’t taken a firm decision between the French jersey (which he wore with the U21) and the Indomitable Lions.

However, Kana-Biyik admitted that « since he was a little kid », his « dream » was to play for Cameroon. Huge attention will be paid to the next selection published by Cameroon national coach Javier Clemente, to see whether he is included or not.
