New Infrastructures for the Academy?

New Infrastructures for the Academy?

France’s best Academy since 2006, Stade Rennes should soon be investing in brand new installations for their Youth training centre.

This is what Patrick Rampillon explains in an interview to La Provence. He affirms that his management is eager to pursue the policy of training young players as they have done since several years. “I’ve never heard of any intention to limit the improvement of our Academy infrastructures since Francois Pinauly arrived (ed.: since 1998)”, he explains. And Rampillon backs his claim. “Can I prove it? Near 400,000 euros will be invested in new infrastructures”.

The Stade Rennes Academy’s director would not say any more about the nature of these “new infrastructures”. However, one could think of a refurbishment of the Odorico technical school (the structure of accommodation and schooling for young footballers), whose buildings have been built in 1987, or even its move to La Piverdière.
