Transfers: Liverpool also chasing Marveaux?

Already targeting Yann M’Vila (read) and Rod Fanni (read), Liverpool is also reportedly interested in Sylvain Marveaux, France Football reveal on their website.

According to the magazine, the English club’s sports director, Frenchman Damien Comolli has reportedly made a move in order to approach the player and his entourage, in the aim to convince him joining Liverpool next summer.

A transfer which would be much easier to realise for the Reds than those of Fanni and M’Vila, since Marveaux’s contract will be running out in June 2011.

As soon as January, any clubs interested in signing the Rennes midfielder will be free to offer him a contract without consent from the Stade Rennais. Unless he was to extend his contract in the meantime, Marveaux would therefore quit Brittany next summer, without his club receiving a transfer fee.
