M’Vila will remain in Rennes in 2011-2012

M'Vila will remain in Rennes in 2011-2012

This is no secret,Yann M’Vila has become one of Rennes most important players in one year. A full International, remarked for his performances with the French national team, where Laurent Blanc has made him a regular starter although he is only 20, no wonder the midfielder as caught the interest of the biggest clubs.

But the player doesn’t plan to leave Brittany next summer. He affirmed it this Thursday during the press conference. “I’ve got a contract with the Stade Rennais until 2014, M’Vila reminded. I will play for Rennes next year. At the end of the season, I will have two full Ligue 1 seasons under my belt, I will be able to start and impose myself”. Enough to calm potential summer transfer rumours in advance.

M’Vila justifies his position. “Most players that went abroad very young failed, but you can’t forget that some made it. I still have things to learn. Stade Rennes is the right club for this”.

Talking about the game to come against AS Monaco, the French international talked about his reunion with Guy Lacombe, who didn’t give him a chance to play when he played for Rennes. “That’s his prerogative, M’Vila comments. If he thinks there were better players than him at the position…”. Regardless, he won’t refuse to shake his former coach’s hand. “But I certainly won’t go to him”, the young Rennais adds.
