Antonetti «thinks that Fanni will leave»

Invited to talk on radio RMC, Rennes manager Frédéric Antonetti discussed several current topics, particularly the transfers

The winter transfer market :
«We try and strenghten the team, abroad, in France. We would like to recruit an experienced forward and a younger. Two players: one for the future, one for the present”.

Victor Hugo Montaño and his performances :
«I wanted him to play in a central position as I think he brings more there. Even though he is not a pure striker, his work rate his outstanding, he values everyone’s work”.

Moussa Sow’s departure:
«When I arrived, the damage was done. I tried to correct things, but he was so upside down psychologically, it couldn’t be turned. I tried my best but I could not do anything. [Between him and me] it went well because he is a great guy and a good player. I’m not surprised by his success, but dices were loaded from the start”.

Rod Fanni’s probable transfer :
«Marseille are pushing, I’m not aware of the lastest talks, but I believe the clubs are closing to an agreement, and I think he will leave. Rod had a difficult beginning of the season, he wasn’t called for the World Cup, and then he picked up an injury… Now he worked hard and he came back, work always pays, and now teams such as Marseille and Liverpool want him, I’m very happy for him. It will be a very nice progression in his career”.
