Transfers, Fanni: “Marseille have got the keys to the safe”

Negotiations are continuing between Stade Rennes and Olympique de Marseille regarding Rod Fanni’s possible transfer.

In today’s edition, La Provence announced that alongside Liverpool’s offer, Stade Rennes had received more offer from various foreign clubs for their international defender. The proposition are reportedly coming from other English clubs, but also German teams.

In Marseille, which seems to remain Fanni’s preference, “We talk, we discuss”, according to Jean-Claude Dassier, who confirms that “negotiations aren’t closed”. However, an agreement is still to be reached on the transfer fee, even though Marseille has sent an improved offer, as we reported on Sunday morning. (read previously).

With the Stade Rennais refusing to lower their expectations, and a few more club having visibly expressed an interest, the decision rests on Marseille and on their ability to reply to the Breton demand. “The Marseille management have got the keys to the safe, now it’s up to them”, a Fanni relative commented in La Provence.
