Transfers, Fanni: Negotiations drag on

As Stade Rennes and Olympique Marseille seemed to have found a final agreement towards Rod Fanni’s transfer, negotiations are still going on between the player’s representatives and the Provence club.

Talking to the website Football365.fr, the player’s agent affirmed that the contract offered by Marseille to Fanni was still “far from the player’s expectations”, while recognizing that things could “develop” towards an agreement.

_On Tuesday, OM President Jean-Claude Dassier had warned that a transfer would remain conditioned to Fanni’s salary expectations (read previously). Visibly not in the best financial situation, Marseille seems rather reticent to agree with the Rennes defender’s wages demand.

According to RMC, the Olympique de Marseille is offering a two and a half year contract to Fanni. At this moment, the player’s agent affirms that « the decision lies with » Olympique de Marseille management. Next episode (and end?) of this story this Friday.
