Transfers, Fanni : «A difference of 20 %»

Questioned by website football.fr, Rod Fanni’s agent Dominique Six confirmed a gap between the player’s contract demand and the current offer from Olympique Marseille.

According to Six, the player’s demand are far from “delirious” as the Marseille management implied. “A different of 20% exists between the two offers, and this could be arranged quickly, he affirms. We aren’t asking for fortunes. Rod doesn’t want to be overpaid. He is 29 years. If he arrives in Marseille, he wants a salary in phase with the club’s status. We are following a logic, which is a progression from Rennes”.

Sunday, La Provence revealed that Fanni had requested a monthly salary of 150,000 euros. If this figure was to be confirmed, a difference of 20% would mean a gap of about 30,000 euros between the two sides.

Six remains optimistic about the transfer’s completion anyway. “The aim is certainly not to soil the player’s name, he is from Marseille and his family lives there, he explains. Rod might still wear the Marseille jersey next week-end”. As for Lyon’s interest (read previously), the agent affirmed that the interest was only in prevision of next summer, in case Anthony Réveillère was to leave OL.
