Injuries: Winter break for Douchez

Against Valenciennes this week-end (1-0), Nicolas Douchez has played his last game in 2010. Isdeed, struggling since several months with a groin injury, the goalkeeper will undergo surgery this Tuesday.

Needing a two to three weks rest, Douchez will obviously be missing the trip to Caen this Wednesday. He is also expected to be left out of the Coupe de France Round of 64 game against Cannes, scheduled for Sunday, Jabuary 7th at the Stade de la Route de Lorient.

During Douchez’ absence Johann Carrasso will replace him in the Stade Rennes goal. The former Montpellier man will play his first ever Ligue 1 match at the Stade Michel d’Ornano. As for Abdoulaye Diallo, he should be returning in the squad as a substitute.
