Transfers : Kandji has signed

According to our information, Senegalese centre-back Pape Malick Kandji has signed a three and a half year professional contract a few days ago, which links him to Stade Rennes until June 2014.

A long planned signature. On a pre-contract, Kandji had arrived in Rennes since several months and was already training alternatively with the professional squad and Laurent Huard’s reserve. This signature is therefore the confirmation of a previously taken engagement.

The recording of this professional contract will also allow the player to play competitive football with Rennes. Kandji should start as soon as next week-end with Rennes’ reserve in CFA.

Saturday, Rennes are facing a difficult trip to the Poiré-sur-Vie, currently third in the league. Kandji’s addition comes at the right time for Laurent Huard however, since John Boye will be banned for this game after being sent-off against Caen’s Reserve.
