Antonetti denies claim he refused to extend his contract

On Wednesday, Ouest-France announced that Frédéric Antonetti had received a proposition from the club to extend his contract by three years, but that the technician had “refused the offer for the moment” (read previously).

During his press conference this Thursday, Antonetti - whose contract ends next June – denied any refusal to extend his contract. “As in any company, there is a delay of reflexion, he explained. but I want you to know I have never refused this contract”.

Frédéric Antonetti, whose reflection will certainly be influenced by the club’s willingness - or the lack of it - to keep its best elements, also explained that “before giving an answer”, he “wishe[s] to see how [his] team will finish the season”.
