Players on Loan: N'Diaye failed to seize his chance

After his good performances in the Coupe de France (and notably his many saves against Toulouse, early January), Cheick N’Diaye had finally manage to install himself in the Paris FC’s goal.

On loan from Stade Rennes, the Senegalese lived most of the season in the shadow of the local number 1, Vincent Demarconnay, who hadn’t left him the chance to play a single game in the National so far.
Then the wind has turned. “Less decisive” in his own words, Demarconnay finally left his place to N’Diaye for a short trip to Créteil, at the end of January, in which the Stade Rennais player had been satisfying. But N’Diaye failed to confirm over the following two games with two big mistakes, against Rodez a bit over a week ago, and in Rouen last Friday.

As Paris FC will travel to Amiens for a delayed game this Tuesday, N’Diaye will be missing because of an international selection with Senegal. By default, Demarconnay will return as a first choice, but the change would probably have been applied even in the presence of the Senegal international. “Even without his international call-up, it was very probable that Vincent would return”, PFC manager Jean-Luc Vanucchi explained to Le Parisien this Tuesday.
A season of twists and turns continues for Cheick N’Diaye in the capital.
