M’Vila no longer so sure about his future

M'Vila no longer so sure about his future

Interviewed on RMC this Thursday afternoon, Yann M’Vila was once again brought to talk about his future.

Rather adamant in his recent interviews (notably early December and at the end of January), affirming he would remain at Stade Rennes next year, the midfielder was a bit more moderate in his words. “It depends what the club does, M’Vila explained. I will wait until the end of the season to decide, so that we can talk about my future all together”.
Although he doesn’t revendicate a desire to leave Brittany, the French international remains attracted by the perspective of a move out of France (“A career abroad is really tempting me”, he explained. And, over the last few months, the interest of many big European clubs has been revealed, while M’Vila admitted to be attracted to the Premier League.

His caps with Les Bleus have certainly pushed Yann M’Vila to reflect on his situation. “When I join the France squad, when we gather and I train with the best French players, honestly, I feel like I’m improving even quicker and I really feel good, he explains. When I first arrive, I’m a bit lost. It goes very very fast”. And the young Rennais adds: « When you arrive at Clairefontaine, and you train with players from the greatest clubs, you can immediately see the difference”.

His words seem to echo thoses of Jérôme Leroy a few months ago. “Yann will soon need to reach another step to keep on improving, the former Sochaux man explained last August. In Rennes, he will soon reach the top of the hill and not improve anymore, maybe regress. He’s got such a potential, he needs to play with top level players”. On the wake of his words from this Thursday, M’Vila seems closer and closer to share this opinion…
