Injuries: the situation is improving

Good news at the beginning of this week, regarding the injuries of many Rennes players.
For Sunday night’s game against Toulouse, seven players were missing due to injuries : Apam (knee), Brahimi (thigh), Kana-Biyik (thigh), Kembo (thigh), Mandjeck (thigh), Mangane (thigh), Marveaux (thigh).

Except for Apam and Marveaux, recovering from long-term injuries, most players have been suffering with thigh muscle damage.

This Tuesday at training, Jirès Kembo Ekoko returned to full training with the squad under Frédéric Antonetti’s management, although he remained closely monitored by the club’s fitness coach.
As for Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik, he went through a specific session of reinforcement mainly composed of short runs, with a member of the coaching staff.

Finally, Kader Mangane and Yacine Brahimi have been jogging together. They both went out for a very light run. These two players remain quite a way away from joining the group however. Ouest France announce that the Rennes captain should report back to full training with the squad next week, hoping to be fit to start the game in Montpellier.
