Contracts: Negotiations for Douchez and Mangane

Contracts: Negotiations for Douchez and Mangane

As well as Kévin Théophile-Catherine (read previously), Stade Rennes is currently negotiating the contract extensions of two of its key players, Ouest-France reported this Tuesday.

After getting in touch with Nicolas Douchez regarding his intentions a few weeks ago, Dréossi has “lengthily met” the representatives of the Rennes goalkeeper in order to “discuss in further detail the terms of a contract extension”.
The Stade Rennes general manager and Nicolas Douchez will have to find a ground of agreement before June, or the goalkeeper will leave Brittany free of any contract.

Meanwhile, discussions have reportedly been opened with Kader Mangane to extend his stay in Brittany. To the difference of Douchez, the Senegalese defender his contracted until June 2013. An extension would be a clear marker of continuity for the Rennes captain, and would probably satisfy Frédéric Antonetti, who would like to have him in his squad next season.
