International, U17: Bakayoko called-up

Young Rennes midfielder Tiemoué Bakayoko has been called to the France U17 national team, this Tuesday.

Bakayoko, who started the Gambardella Cup game on Sunday, is benefiting of the forfeit of Le Mans’ Mandianga. He joins a group that will play in the Elite Tour, qualifying for the U17 Euro, between this Friday March 27th and Wednesday, March 30th. The young Frenchmen will have to eliminate Georgia, Norway and Belarus in order to qualify for the finals of the Euro. All games will be played in Nantes and the surrounding region.

Tiemoué Bakayoko has already played with the Blue shirt previously, last season with the U16 national team. He had not yet been called this season. A defensive midfielder, he joined Stade Rennes in 2008 after playing for various clubs in the Paris area.
