International, U20 : No World Cup for Diallo

Despite being accessory in the Bleuets’ qualification for the U20 World Cup (through the victory in the U19 Euro last summer), Abdoulaye Diallo has not been called to play the competition next August.

The young goalkeeper has indeed been left out of the list of thirty players pre-selected to play in the competition, despite the presence of four goalkeepers (Sochaux’ Pierrick Cros, Lorient’s Benjamin Lecomte, Montpellier’s Jonathan Ligali and Nice’s Lucas Véronèse), all born in 1991 (against 1992 for Diallo, upgraded last year). No Rennes player has been called in this list.
