Former players : Wiltord will train with Nantes

In an announcement released on its official website, FC Nantes announced that Sylvain Wiltord will start training with the club’s professional squad, during the pre-season camp held from Monday in Annecy.

Landry Chauvin, the Nantes manager, knows Wiltord very well since he both men were at Stad Rennes in the 90’s and when the forward player came back to his training club in 2007.
The beginning of a longer collaboration between Wiltord and FC Nantes ? Maybe. In any case, we know that Wiltord is actively looking for a club and Nantes already tried to hire him at the end of 2008, when the club’s proposition was rejected by Wiltord.

Sunday, rumours announced an interest from Guingamp for « Nino » (read previously). An approach soon denied by Guingamp’s coach, Jocelyn Gourvennec on the Télégramme website. « Sylvain sent me a SMS to offer me his services, stated Gourvennec. I called one of his agent to explain that I was not interested ».
