AfCON 2012: Pitroipa shortlisted

This is not a surprise, Jonathan Pitroipa has been shortlisted with Burkina Faso’s national team for the next African Cup of Nations, which will takes place from the 21th of January to the 12th of February.

The name of the Rennes’ winger appears on a list composed of twenty five players revealed the 22th December by Paulo Duarte, the current Portuguese coach of Burkina’s « Stallions ». Two players will be removed from this selection before the beginning of the final phase.
Pitroipa is not the only representative of Ligue 1 on this list, since Bakary Koné (Lyon), Alain Traoré (Auxerre) and Charles Kaboré (Marseille) have also been called-up.
