Antonetti and M’Vila attack the media

Antonetti and M’Vila attack the media

The day after their defeat in Celtic Park (1-3), the Rennais didn’t appreciate the critics from the media. Frédéric Antonetti, especially, rose up against Olivier Rouyer’s word, consultant for Canal+ Sport, as reported by the radio station RMC.

« Each time I hear a comment, nothing is positive », regrets the Rennes’ head coach, who explains to have « understand many things » the day after the match against PSG, when his team already received many critics from the media (read previously). « Yesterday, Olivier Rouyer said that we had to stop with the excuse of youthfulness. But I have six guys aged twenty, argues Antonetti. If he is so strong, he should come and train the team. We can not say that Stade Rennes doesn’t respect the French football. We can say that we made some mistakes, but we can not carry all the weight of French football on our shoulders. This is unbearable! »

Sent off at the end of the match, Yann M’Vila defended himself from achieving a poor performance against Celtic. « If you want, we can watch the match together. I think you (the media) only recall the bad things, the midfielder moaned. I do not agree. I only lost two balls in the second half and three or four in the first . I know that everyone expect a lot from me, as a result you only remember the bad things I did ».
