Camara «didn’t accept» to be an impact player anymore

Camara «didn't accept» to be an impact player anymore

After he signed a four year contract with FC Sochaux-Montbéliard this Wednesday, Abdoul Camara gave his first impressions in an interview published by Sochaux’ website.

The former Rennais naturally expressed his joy at joining his new club, using the formulas reserved for such occasions. “I did insist to leave, to be able to come to Sochaux”, underlined Camara, who will reunite with players he has met in France’s youth national teams in his new club (Corchia, Duplus, Martin and Privat). A club which is, like Stade Rennais, putting much trust in their youngsters. “The club’s policy is good for me”, recognised “Razza”.

When it came to justifying his departure from Brittany, the left winger put forward his desire to play more. “I need to play, he claimed. I didn’t accept to be an impact player anymore. I need to express myself and Sochaux is giving me this opportunity”. In France-Comte, Camara will still have to earn a starting spot on the left wing however. His main competitors should be Vincent Nogueira and Sébastien Roudet.
