Dréossi : « Details to settle » for Pitroipa

Dréossi : « Details to settle » for Pitroipa

Interviewed Monday evening on RMC, Pierre Dréossi disclosed additional information on Rennes’ mercato.

While the arrival of Jonathan Pitroipa (Hamburg) seems to be imminent, the general manager explained that everything isn’t settled yet. « We have not completely finalised it, but it is going well, admitted Dréossi. I hope that we will complete this case in few days, but for the moment there are still a few details to settle ».
According to the website of German newspaper Hamburger Morgenpost, a disagreement remains on the duration of the contract. The signature of this contract could be postponed for few days, until a final agreement is reached.

Questioned on other targets, Pierre Dréossi confirmed that Pitroipa’s arrival would not prevent the arrival of an other attacking player, which could be the Saint-Etienne’s player Emmanuel Rivière, as we announced last Sunday. At the moment, the general manager only admitted « contacts », but also stated that « no decision is yet made ». « I don’t know whether it will be Rivière or an other one, added Pierre Dréossi. We will recruit a centre forward, and Jonathan Pitroipa is a winger. We can make them play together, there is no issue. ».

Finally, concerning the left-side defender, Pierre Dréossi seemed impatient. Confirming that the future recruit will come from foreign countries, Dréossi wishes that this case will « be settled soon, because it is time to make something concrete ».
Questioned on the case of Sevilla’s player Mouhamadou Dabo, the general manager explained that « for the moment, he doesn’t match with what we are able to do financially ». He probably referred to the salary of former Saint-Etienne player.
