Europa League: the Atlético crushes Udine

Europa League: the Atlético crushes Udine

While Stade Rennes sustained an umpteenth disillusion in Celtic Park, the Atlético came back in the race for qualification course by winning against a disappointing Udinese (4-0).

At the Vicente-Calderon stadium, the Madrid team scored quickly though the young Adrian, against a extremely reshuffled Italian team. As early as the seventh minute, the Spanish forward, well served by Turan on a counter attack, crucified Handanovic. Five minutes later, Adrian beat the Slovenian goalkeeper again with a header, capping a nice collective move.
Before half time, the Atlético had already secured the points, when Adrian gave an assist to Diego for the third Madrid goal. At last, just after the hour mark, Falcao scored the fourth and last goal of the match, after dribbling Handanovic.

A large victory which pushes the Atletico towards the first position of the group I, just ahead of Udinese, thanks to the particular goal average. Although Stade Rennes still has a very thin hope to qualify, it now has to win its two last matches, while hoping for Celtic to manage favourable results.
