Europa League: the UEFA studies the possibilities to reinstate FC Sion

Awaiting for the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the UEFA announced on its own website the terms of a possible reinstatement of the FC Sion in the Europa League.
These proposals were defined by the UEFA, in order to show its willingness to the civilian justice, which agreed that the Swiss club is right and ordered its reinstatement in Europa League.

Three options have been revealed:
- the first one consists on a cancellation of all the previous games played in group I of the Europa League (including Udinese - Rennes and Rennes - Atlético), and the definition of a new calendar for five teams, based on the organization of the previous UEFA Cup (four matches to play against four different teams, two at home and two away). These matches would be played between the 24th November and the 22th December.
- the second option plans the reinstatement of FC Sion as a fifth team of the group. The previous results would be kept, and the Swiss club would have to play two matches against the other clubs between the end of November 2011 and February 2012.
- the third option plans a possible reinstatement of FC Sion directly in the next round, but passing by a playoff round, for which the modalities remains to be defined.

If the CAS decides the reinstatement of FC Sion, one of these three options should be chosen, probably in accordance with the dates of the CAS decision.
