Former Players: Bangoura changes Emirates

Transferred one year ago to Al-Nasr (United Arab Emirates), the former Rennes’ forward Ismaël Bangoura has reportedly signed a contract with Al-Gharafa in the last few days (Qatar), according to football365.fr.

A change of league for the Guinean forward, who would have been exchanged with former Parisian Amara Diané. Bangoura therefore ends up in an average team of the Qatarian league, trained by Frenchman Bruno Metsu.

Not retained by Frédéric Antonetti after only one season in Brittany, Bangoura left Stade Rennes a couple of days after the end of the summer transfer period, in the beginning of September 2010. Last season, the Guinean was the best scorer of his club, with ten goals scored in the UAE league. His club ended the season in a respectable third position.
