Former Players: Borne joins Beauvais

Having reached the end of his contract with Us Boulogne (Ligue 2) where he only played 24 league games in two seasons, Guillaume Borne signed a contract for AS Beauvais (National) this Monday.
On trial with the club from Picardy last week, the young centre back convinced the Beauvais staff and management to offer him a contract for next season.

Trained at the Stade Rennais, the man from Tarn sees his career going downhill. Launched in Ligue 1 by Pierre Dréossi in December 2006 in Lorient, Borne had managed a good game and was soon offered a professional contract.
Unfortunately, the young defender never managed to confirmed, neither with Rennes, nor during his loan to Stade Brestois in 2008-2009. Transferred to Boulogne-sur-Mer (then just promoted to L1) in June 2009, Borne didn’t impose himself there either. He will now try to bounce back in the National next season.
