Former Players : Le Toux is on Fire, Thomert in Spain

Reconverted as a … striker since he arrived in the USA in 2007, Le Toux – now playing for Philadelphia Union – scored the only goal of the game against the Scottish. A fair reward for a player who is eyeing at the US selection, and created a Soccer Academy last year in his adoptive country.

Released by the Stade Rennais during the 2010 winter transfer window, Olivier Thomert found a new challenge after six difficult months at Le Mans and a relegation in Ligue 2. Indeed, the former Rennes left winger has just signed a one year contract with Alicante, newly promoted to the Spanish Liga. A new challenge that could put Thomert’s career back on track, after a difficult time, both on a personal and sporting level.
