Former Players : Moukandjo joins Nancy

The regiment of former Rennes players in Ligue 1 has been reinforced by a new element this Sunday. After six months in Monaco, ending in a relegation to Ligue 2, Benjamin Moukandjo has signed a three-year contract with AS Nancy-Lorraine.

The Cameroon winger, arrived at Stade Rennes in 2007 with a flattering reputation, had never managed to break through in Brittany. After a 2007-2008 season spoiled by injuries and a difficult adaptation, he hadn’t shined during his loan to National side Sannois-Saint-Gratien the following season either
Logically released in summer 2009, Moukandjo had finally exploited a season and a half in Ligue 2 with Nice to reveal himself in Ligue 2. After several big performances, he had attracted the interest of several top flight teams, including Monaco who signed him last January.

Chased by several Ligue 1 teams this summer, Moukandjo will indeed continue his career in the top flight with Nancy.
