Former players : Frei scores again

Playing for FC Basel since 2009, Alexander Frei never gets bored of scoring goals. Aged 32, he just earned another title of best goal scorer in the Swiss League last season, and enjoys the opportunity to play the Champions’ league with his club to show he never lost his abitily to score.

Last evening, the FC Basel managed a superbe draw on the pitch of Manchester United (3-3), and was close to win, since Ashley Young only got the equalizer during added time. The former Rennes striker was a major part of this excellent result by scoring a brace. Before that his namesake Fabian Frei (who isn’t a famility relative) had scored for Bâle. Already a scorer during the first journey against the Romanians of Galati (2-1), Alex Frei has now scored 3 goals in two games during this Champions’ League campaign. A performance that makes him the best goal scorer of the competition at the moment, waiting for the results of this Wednesday.
