A former player, educator and assistant manager at Stade Rennes, Bertrand Marchand continues his world tour as coach.

Marchand coached the En Avant de Guingamp during two years after his experience as assistant of Christian Gourcuff in Rennes. After that, he spent most of his career in Arabian countries.
After Tunisia, where he won the African Champions League in 2007 with Étoile du Sahel, Marchand also coached in Qatar, before become the national coach of Tunisia for a few months.

This time, it is in another Maghreb country, Morocco, that Bertrand Marchand is going to bring his experience. He has been named at the head coach of Raja Casablanca, the defending Moroccan champion, which experiences a poor start of the season with only one point taken in two matches. He succeeds to Romanian Ilie Balaci, who took the reins of the first team in July.
