Former players : Paisley returns to Brittany

A left-back at Rennes during a year and a half, Grégory Paisley will return to Brittany this month, nine years after leaving for a loan to Le Havre.

Without a club after a two years spell in Nice, Paisley joins Guingamp, who are preparing their comeback in Ligue 2, for one season. The 34 years old, trained in Paris Saint-Germain, willl play in a division he has already known with Strasbourg in 2008-2009.

Beside, the costarmorican club have announced their decision to abandon the trail leading to Jérôme Leroy, left free by Stade Rennais. In a statement Guingamp’s chairman pointed the club’s interest for the midfielder but regretted that Leroy “failed to give an agreement within the imparted time”, before affirming they wanted to “recruit players motivated and enthusiastic to the idea of joining the club”.
