Guidolin: Rennes is a dynamic, fast and aggressive team

In the press conference this Wednesday, Udinese manager – and former Monaco coach - Francesco Guidolin insisted on the difficulty of the games his team is preparing to face in the Europa League.

A level of difficulty of which Stade Rennes, “a dynamic, fast and aggressive team” according to Guidolin, is a real part. “We have been drawn in a tricky group, more difficult than many Champions League groups”, the Italian manager commented.
Although Guidolin will apply « a little bit » of squad rotation (Antonio Di Natale could even start the game on the bench this Thursday), the manager reminds – just as Frédéric Antonetti – that he has “many players eager to show their value”, and that his team aims to qualify for the next phase of the competition.

Meanwhile, defender Maurizio Domizzi insists on the importance of this first game. “To manage a good first match is important, if not crucial, the former Napoli player affirms. Two years ago, we had a good run in the competition. As the coach said, this is a long and difficulties rich competition. We won’t underrate anyone. Rennes is a team with big physical abilities, and is very well organised tactically».
