Injuries: Mangane will have to be patient

Back to the training grounds early this week, Kader Mangane will not return to competitive football in the short-term. Suffering with an ankle injury since several months (read previously), the Rennes captain hasn’t fully recovered despite the two week-rest he enjoyed during the international break.

After starting physical preparation sessions on Saturday, Mangane suffered with his ankle once again. According to Ouest-France, a MRI scan made this Monday revealed the presence of an oedema, which will require to be completely cured before a return to competition is scheduled.

On a brighter side, Frédéric Antonetti will soon be able to enjoy the return of de John Boye. Ouest-France reports that the Ghanaian defender was present at training on Monday and completed a « heavy session based on athletic preparation”.
