International: Mangane and Pitroipa selected

At the beginning of September, Kader Mangane and Jonathan Pitroipa will travel to Africa. Both players have been called by their respective national teams.

Mangane appears on a list of 24 names published last Thursday by Amara Traoré for the crucial game against Congo. Considered as the « most important game of the last three years » by the Senegalese papers, this match could allow the Lions to qualify for the 2012 African Cup of Nations, in case of a victory against Congo on the 2nd September in Dakar.

Well positioned in its qualification group, Burkina Faso could qualify for the 2012 ACN without playing, if Gambia don’t win their match against Namibia on the 2nd September. Exempted of qualifying games, Burkina Faso will play a friendly match against Equatorial Guinea, one of the two hosts of the next African Cup of Nations. This game will be played on September 3rd at Bobo-Dioulasso, capital of Burkina Faso.
