With its easy victory against Romania, last Thursday in Nantes (3-0), the U21 France national team made an additional step towards the qualification, thanks to its fourth win in four matches.

The goals were scored by players from Montpellier (Rémy Cabella, 36’), Lyon (Alexandre Lacazette, 71’) and Sochaux (Sébastien Corchia, 78’, on a free kick). Rennes’ defenderChris Mavinga started the match on the left side of the defence and played the whole match. On the other hand, Vincent Pajot stayed on the substitutes’ bench and didn’t enter the ground, since Francis Coquelin was preferred in the starting XI. Monday, the « Bleuets » will play against Slovakia, in Angers.

Several thousands of kilometers from Nantes, the U20 France national team of Abdoulaye Diallo lost a friendly against Israel (1-2), despite the first goal scored by Guingamp’s player Anthony Knockaert. A return game was planned for Sunday in the same stadium.
