Players on Loan, Pajot : “My aim is to improve my game”

Loaned to Boulogne-sur-Mer since last week, Vincent Pajot gradually finds his marks in his new club. In an interview to the Nord club’s official website, he explains he wants to "improve", and guarantees his "integration” to his new group was good, thanks to players like Guillaume Borne and Daniel Moreira he has known in Rennes.

Since Cameroon international Georges Mandjeck’s arrival to the club, competition in the midfield was very tough with Tongo Hamed Doumbia, Fabien Lemoine, Yann M’Vila, Prince Oniangue and Alexander Tettey. A loan seemed to be the only solution for one of the best players in the reserve last year: "Boulogne called me, their recruiters took time to come and watch me several times over a couple of months. Then they came to see me and their words were convincing to me", comments the new professional at the Stade Rennais (he signed a one year contract with an additional two years in option)

Earlier targeted by Clermont-Foot, he was taken on loan by the Boulogne staff for a friendly game against La Gantoise. Starting on the bench, he was substituted in after one hour and impressed in his role as an anchor midfield. By all means, the 2007 Academy’s Best player can already feel the difference between CFA (4th level) and Ligue 2: "It starts immediately, duels are much stronger. And particularly, the style of play is cleaner, better developed than in CFA".

Serious, he knows this season is of a major importance towards his future in professional football. In this way, he will have to earn his place as a regular starter in the Boulogne-sur-Mer midfield, but he doesn’t plan to put his individual success first: "My aim is to improve my game. This is a stage I have to go through to progress. And through that stage, I want to help Boulogne do as well as possible and finish the league as high in the standings as we can", he finishes.
