Players on loan: Pajot enjoys himself in Ligue 2

Called by Érick Mombaerts to join the French U21 national team, Vincent Pajot distinguished himself once again this Friday in Ligue 2. Loaned to US Boulogne-sur-Mer since the beginning of the season, the Rennes midfielder scored , against Troyes (2-0), his third goal of the season before delivering an assist to striker Grégory Thil (his fifth of the season).

Aged 20 years, Pajot confirms a bit more the hopes placed in him since several months. A Gambardella cup winner in 2008, he had then become a key member of the Reserve under Laurent Huard’s management. Last year, the coach had even given him the captain’s armband for his last year as an intern. Consistent in his performances, he had signed his first professional contract with his training club at the end of the season, for a year and including and optional two additional seasons.
Facing a strong competition at midfield, the Academy’s best player of 2007 decided to gain play-time in Ligue 2. While he played as an anchor midfielder for most of last season, Pajot now plays as a centre midfielder, on a position in which he is able to take part in the construction of Boulogne’s attacks. Rather successfully.
