Rennes - Atlético : M. Göçek to referee

After a Romanian referee at Udine, Stade Rennes will be refereed by a Turkish quintet for its match against Atlético Madrid, next Thursday.

UEFA appointed Hüseyin Göçek as the main referee for this match. A young official– he is only 34 years old – M. Göcek made his start in the Turkish Süper Lig in 2006, and exercises at international level since 2008.
Engineer in civilian life, he will be helped by four assistant referees (two linesmen and two penalty area referees), for an arbitration with five referees, for the first time at Stade de la Route de Lorient.

Since his debut at the highest levels, Hüseyin Göçek has been delivering an average five yellow cards per match, and one red card every four games.
