Rennes - Celtic: Jebbour in the starting XI?

Rennes - Celtic: Jebbour in the starting XI?

According to the tactical set-up of this Wednesday afternoon at La Piverdière, Frédéric Antonetti could once again rotate a squad which will not include Yann M’Vila and Georges Mandjeck.

Before Benoît Costil, with the partnership of Kana-Biyik and Mangane reformed at centre back, the Rennes manager his expected to rest full-backs Romain Danzé and Kévin Théophile-Catherine. It seems very likely that youngster Yassine Jebbour could start at right back, with Chris Mavinga playing on the left.
Yet to play a professional game this season, Jebbour will have a chance to prove his ability in this game. Last season, he had to cover at left-back although he is left-footed, like Théophile-Catherine. Considering the density of the squad this season, the Moroccan U21 International is unlikely to get many chances to play professional football. Last week-end, Jebbour had already considered starting at right back before Antonetti decided to leave him on the bench to field Romain Danzé.

At midfield, with Yann M’Vila absent, Tettey and Pajot are expected to cover recovery and creation duties, behind playmaker Julien Féret. In attack, Frédéric Antonetti should also rotate his squad by using Hadji as a striker, with Brahimi and Boukari covering the wings. This will allow Montaño, Pitroipa and Kembo – in the starting eleven last Sunday – to rest.
